Plans die in chat.
Avilo makes them real.
Open the app. See who's nearby. Find someone down for coffee β right now.
Not a dating app. No matching, no swiping. Just real plans with real people nearby.
The group chat has 47 people in it. Nobody locked in plans this week.
You deleted the message before you sent it. Everyone says "we should hang soon." Nobody does.
Most apps reward attention, not actual plans.
So we built something.
72% of young Australians feel lonely at least sometimes
Plans die in group chats every single day
7 hours average screen time. 27 minutes with friends in person.
Social media makes us feel seen β and more alone
Launching at Adelaide Uni. 50 spots. That's it.

Built for the real world.

Four steps. Zero awkwardness.
No algorithms, no swiping, no performance. Just real people who actually want to hang out.
See who's around
Open the map and see real people nearby who are open to hanging out right now. Not profiles, not followers β people in your suburb today.
Find your vibe
Filter by activity. Coffee, a walk, study session, a late-night run. Find someone on the exact same frequency.
Say hey
Quick message. No weird openers. Just "hey, still down for that coffee?" β and you're halfway there.
Meet IRL
Actually hang out. Both confirm the meetup with a selfie. Done. That's the whole app.
Built so you can actually show up.
Avilo is designed with privacy, trust, and accountability at every layer.
Profile Verification
Every account goes through a real verification process. Fake profiles don't last long here.
Privacy Controls
Your exact location is never shared. You control who sees you and when you're visible.
Reporting Tools
Easy one-tap reporting and blocking. We take safety reports seriously and act fast.
Selfie Confirmation
IRL meetups are confirmed with a mutual selfie. This keeps everyone accountable and builds real trust.

The selfie that proves
you showed up.
When a meetup happens, both people confirm it with a mutual selfie. Not a screenshot. Not a like. Proof that two real people actually met IRL β and a reputation that grows every time you show up.
Mutual confirmation
Both people have to confirm. No fake meetups, no gaming the system.
Reputation that travels
Your confirmed meetup history builds trust with every new person you meet.
Built-in accountability
Knowing meetups are confirmed changes how people show up. It just works.
Most apps keep you engaged. Avilo wants you engaged with life.
We built the opposite of what everyone else is building.
Most social apps
- βKeep you swiping forever
- βReward status and attention
- βTurn people into profiles
- βLeave plans stuck on a screen
- βBuilt for engagement metrics
Avilo
- βHelps people actually meet
- βEncourages real plans
- βBuilt for human outcomes
- βVerified IRL meetups
- βPremium funds real charities
"We measure success in meetups, not minutes."
β Max Reid, Founder
The first 50 aren't users.
They're builders.
Most apps launch to everyone and hope it sticks. We're launching to 50 people on one campus, deliberately. The First 50 don't just use Avilo β they shape what it becomes.
Founding member status
Permanently marked on your profile. The OGs who were there before anyone else.
Premium free for life
First 50 get Avilo Premium at no cost, forever. No catch.
Direct line to the founder
Your feedback actually shapes the product. You're building this with us.

Day 47. The scroll-lock bug is real and we're fixing it live π οΈ
18 years old. No co-founder. One idea. Here we go. π

I live in Forbes, NSW.
12,000 people.
I watched people I care about move to cities with thousands of students and end up knowing nobody. I'm 1,400km away and I couldn't do anything about it.
So I built an app and sent 250 stickers to Adelaide because I didn't know what else to do.
I don't go to uni. I'm 18, from a small town, no co-founder. That's exactly why I built this. Because the people who need it most aren't in a position to build it themselves.
I've volunteered with Vinnies and at mental health awareness days. Wherever I go, I talk to someone new. I reckon most people want to β they just need the excuse.
"I don't want to build an app. I want to remove every excuse not to meet someone new."

We're building Avilo for people who are tired of scrolling past the people they could actually be hanging out with.
